Broadly, what does this look like from start to finish?
We'll jump on a video call (or just voice if that's more your speed) to discuss goals for our time together, which I'll use to generate a short contract with final price. Once we're in agreement, we'll meet up and I'll make you look like the superstar you really are. I'll go home to do some light editing and afterwards send you a private, password-protected link to download your new high-quality JPG photos.
Can I bring someone with me?
Absolutely, so long as they don't interfere with our work! While our sessions may be for individual portraits you're welcome to bring along guests.
What if I don't want my images "out there" or in your portfolio?
My default approach is always in favor of your privacy. I will ask during our initial conversations if you're okay with me sharing our work to help me promote and market my business to future clients. Should you decide to allow me to use our work for promotion, a discount will be given to the final price of work.
What if I don't know how to model or pose?
No sweat! Posing can look and feel unnatural for a lot of people. It's my job as the photographer to talk you through basic movements that help you look your best on camera, and I promise I can do it without overly directing you, without ever touching you, and without putting you in awkward positions that look fake or forced.
Can you make me taller, thinner, "fix" my nose, etc.?
Frankly, no. I focus my work on body positivity and digital honesty. Your photos will be lightly edited (color corrected, brightened/darkened, etc.) but, beyond removing small blemishes like surprise zits, your photos will not be retouched (smoothed skin, brightened teeth, etc.). I look forward to showing you the beauty I see in every person - the beauty you already have.
When will I receive my photos?
My promised turnaround is within ten business days of shooting but most people receive their images sooner. Any concerns over delays with delivery will be discussed prior to any payments.
How many photos will I receive?
This depends on how many people are involved and for how long you'll need my services. For a rough idea, check out the pricing page for an average count of images received per style shoot.
